Clement Chen is the vice president, strategic development for Lockheed Martin Integrated Systems and Solutions. He is responsible for the development of overall strategic direction, enterprise business strategies, mergers and acquisitions, and emerging technology investments for this business area. Previously, he served as vice president, strategic analysis and development at corporate headquarters where he crafted corporate business and technology strategies and provided industry thought leadership on network centric warfare. He has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility in finance, business development, business operations and corporate development with Lockheed Martin, IBM and Software AG. His work has included spearheading strategic alliance formation and solution development with leading commercial IT companies in support of enterprise application integration, web-based services, networked communications and information security. Chen is a former naval officer, specializing in surface warfare, operations analysis and served as an operational test director for naval engineering and combat systems.
Chen currently serves on the Computer Science Advisory Board at George Mason University and on the Federal Executive Advisory Council of Sun Microsystems. He has served on the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Council (NSTAC) Information Assurance Task Force and is a former member of the board of directors at the Center for Telecommunications Management at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business. He graduated with honors from the United States Naval Academy with a bachelors of science and earned a masters degree in business administration from the Mason School of Business at the College of William and Mary, graduating as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma academic honor society.
