Jason Hatakeyama is responsible for the overall leadership of the Boeing C3 Networks Mechanical/Structural Engineering organization for Huntington Beach and Anaheim, Calif. He also is the Southern California site lead for Phantom Works Materials & Structures Technology. He is responsible for the structural analysis, structural design, loads and dynamics, and mechanical systems design functions along with the deployment of common processes and tools and execution of research and development activities.
Within the Integrated Defense Systems MSE Function team, Jason leads a technology transition process action team to drive mechanical and structural technologies across IDS through the 4600 enrolled engineers. He is also actively engaged in the enterprise work share effort to fulfill critical staffing requirements across IDS and Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
As the Southern California site leader for Phantom Works Materials & Structures Technology, Jason is the regional director of a research and development organization chartered with identifying, developing, and transitioning advanced technologies of strategic importance to legacy and future Boeing products and services. He is responsible and accountable for executing over $25 million in government contracts, interdivisional work orders and company funded technology development projects.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri, Rolla. He is a member of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, is an advisory board member for the Boeing Asian American Professionals Association, and serves on the industry advisory board for the UCLA Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department.
